Merchants provide the ultimate end product, which could be a sale via an e-commerce website or a sign up to a newsletter or for a seminar lead amongst others. When the campaign parameters have been set, it is then offered to the Affiliates. Any Affiliate who feels they could fulfill the campaign needs by sending visitors to the merchant can then apply to sell for them. The merchant can then approve or decline the Affiliate. Once approved the Affiliate will place banners, textlinks or search boxes on their site(s) and start to send visitors over to the Merchant.
